Dear Reader,
Before you send me an email: please think about making a modest donation to help me keep these pages up, and to help me get back home:

You may like to know more about me; my name is Bart Ridge. I grew up in a small town in New York State where the there are more trees and cows than people. Now I live in Vietnam, by choice, but I do miss my home. In recent years, after 9/11, I took to the Internet like a duck to water; doing too much research if you ask my friends and family. I found out about the Georgia Guidestones for the first time - their message is one that at once seems reasonable (after taking for granted the collapse of civilization because of collective blindness) and chilling: for too many people are willing to throw the baby out with the bath water for the sake of an empty tub (they could be mistaken as directives, and an inspiration to mischief).
I began to write web pages about the stones and the tragic plot in their subtext; to get around the dark abyss of fear and sorrow I wrote the pages as quirky tongue-in-cheek "psychometeric impressions" - trying to show the lighter side of the Apocalypse while staring it down. Once I had the content it seemed only natural then to dedicate a web site to them: so www.theGeorGiaGuidestones.com was born. I've tried to preserve that style while cultivating hope. I have also tried to balance hard hitting well documented information with humorous takes on hard problems.
Through it all I did find some consistent themes; and revised my own thinking, somewhat. "Peak oil" is real, and a disaster in the making that directly relates to the question of overpopulation. Where I once thought the anonymous sponsors of the stones were dynastic insiders of the cryptocracy I now believe that they are what they claimed: a small group of Americans seeking the Age of Reason - and convinced inwardly that no matter what they do to help matters the tide cannot be turned; that environmental degradation and overpopulation will swamp our collective boat and sink it. It is clear, however, that against that backdrop the likeliest scenario for the New World Order to openly seize power is to play the Energy Endgame and to depopulate the planet by engaging in biowarfare against the masses.
What hope there is is found in not playing the endgame; or after being forced to play it, to change the rules. It really is as simple as that: that's why all the energy links to decentralized energy sources and technology, and my own editorial undercurrent that rejects centralized authority and planning, particularly the monetary system.
Which brings me full circle: I make a haphazard living here in Vietnam teaching English, doing free lance editing, marketing, consulting and the like. I have no unemployment insurance, no labor contract, no safety net. I am stuck here making just enough to get by, let alone afford to go home, and even that is in question now. That's why your help is asked for and would be greatly appreciated and welcome.
I do like to work for a living; it seems only fair and just after all. You can help me in one of three ways:
get your travel agent friends to book their tours to Vietnam at www.VietnamAir.net (all tours are made through a licensed travel company)
invest in the business at www.GoldenTigerArt.com (I set this up originally for an investor who then fell ill, and had to leave the country, leaving it undercapitalized and me unpaid)
- please make a donation - probably the most convenient for you.
Please, any donation would be welcome, even a dollar. You can change the amount shown below to what you would like to donate.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Bart Ridge
